London, 28th May 2009- Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project and Development Services (P&DS) team has delivered the first new generation Courtyard by Marriott Hotel to be constructed in the UK.
Appointed as both project and cost manager, Jones Lang LaSalle’s P&DS team led the client from inception, through all stages of this major project. The project, which is based in Gatwick South, is now one of Kew Green's Flagship Hotels and is considered by Marriott International as a model development.
Commenting on the project delivery, Adrian Trent, Associate Director in Jones Lang LaSalle’s P&DS team said: The greatest challenge throughout the project was meeting the expectations of the Franchisor Marriott International, the Landlord BAA Lynton and the Funder HBoS, whilst keeping focus on the Employer's requirements.”
To mark a fitting end to the project and a landmark beginning for the hotel, on 21st April Mr J W Marriott Jnr flew over from Washington DC, America to formally open the new hotel at the official opening ceremony, where large numbers of press and high ranking individuals were present. During the speeches, Jones Lang LaSalle received special mention and thanks from the Kew Green Directors.
